20lb Zander in Lynn News??

Just been looking at the angling section in todays Lynn News and read this

" For the predator anglers doubles joy on the higher middle level and the cut off at fordham, 19lb the best pike from hilgay earlier this week, but where has the rumoured 20lb zander (which would be a british record) come from? "

Has anyone heard of a 20lb zander actually caught recently??
Can it finally have happened??

Not really sure, on one hand i know mike grief sometimes " exaggerates " a little in his column, on the other hand though at this time of year the zeds will be starting to pack on the weight for spawning.

Its definitely a possibility, maybe we will see something in the angling weeklies next week...

cant wait to get back out there this weekend and see if i can get one even remotely near that weight!

i wish i could put my hand up ian and say i was that man but i can,t but i,m not going to lose any sleep about it was told to me last week and i don,t reckon its true.
