you get what you put in

well as you know i,ve never hidden away when the going gets tough and in fact i up my game and probably try harder than ever and i,ve all way tried to say it as it happens too .
Now at the moment i,m going through a barren period in my zedding and this is because of a few variables that are out side my control like the recent bad weather and work and home commitments , and this effects firstly the amount of time i can spend fishing and as from my last post you would have read i,ve allowed my head to drop while pursuing my quest of a big fish now you are basically all or nothing fishing and add this to long dark evening fishing mainly by yourself it can get very difficult in keeping the focus on the task in hand ,also up until the new year well lets face it i,ve been spoiled with time allowed to chase my quest and with the fish being very obliging to want and visit the bank in front of me and its seems as i have made it look easier than it really is this in reality is how the zedding really is ball busting at times .
this has made it harder to except the blanks but we all have them and i for one will just work through them and continue in the hope i catch that special fish .
now as i said i managed to get out last night and decided to join forces again with Gary AKA the lure meister so once we had me up we had to decide where we were going to fish and and this was a bit difficult due to Gary having a back injury and all the spots i really fancied and wanting to fish meant a bit of a walk and this meant lugging are heavy gear a fair distance ,
but a decision to fish a spot that we had visited a before and done well in but i did point out i also felt the spot had done its best and i felt i was now going to be fishing with doubt that it would actually produce .now once you start fishing with no confidence its a recipe a blank as you don,t fish at your best .
any way we got our gear set up and i picked out the locations of where i would be placing my baits and then sat back in fact i actually did not go back to the rods or even recast unless i got a run as i did not really feel confident nor did i want to waste bait either .
Gary on the other hand was the totally opposite and with him also being on a run of blanks he was a lot more enthusiastic than myself and this showed in how he constantly worked his baits through out the session(which i should have been doing ) .
finally Gary was rewarded for his efforts and i was on hand to net the fish for him this went 8lb 1oz well done mate well deserved and top angling mate

it was a very difficult night at best with the skies being clear and the barometer being high and the fish were still playing hard to get but then i fished badly and did not put ant effort in at all and i need to push through this period and get my zedding back on track and with the enthusiasm that you all have been able to read from the posts, but this also should show that its not all sweetness and light and they don,t crawl up your rods in any fishing you get out what you put in and i certainly put nothing into last night but i intend to amend this quickly

tightlines
kevin
