At Least I Got out!

Made my usual Friday overnighter and headed for a favourite area about 4;00pm.
I choose where to fish based on 2 "match" anglers who had fished a spot for 2 days and put in a lot of bait - which i figured would have drawn in a lot of bait fish and thus the predators.
Had a long chat with these guys who were down from Leicester on an annual 4 day fish of various drains and the Ouse.
It seemed their catch rate had died off on the second day and from what they had seen and told me it looked like there were a lot of Zander/Pike in the area.

Through the night i stuck with static baits, waiting for the sport to switch on as it has every other sesion I've fished there. Unfortunatly it was not to be and the nearest i cam to catching was a missed run.

On reflection and after a long chat with kevin this morning, I think I should have been moving my baits around a lot more.

Already planning my next sesion - which wont be until a week this Friday

I guess fishing wouldn't be a challenge and those great days wouldn't be so great if you caught all the time!

shame on not catching but i agree that them great days would not be so great if we caught all the time .
zedding can be so frustrating especially as the are now going from summer /autumn to there winter mode .
get them hook sharp barrie will surround them on a session .
