Sharpness canal zander

sharpness canal zander

Well after kev fired me up with his cracking advice on zander fishing , today I spent finding another venue to track down a zander.

So out came the OS map and I visited every tackle shop I could think of and asked them for any info they had ( not just on zander but match results as well ) cost me a few quid as if you ask for advice from a tackle shop then the least you can do is buy some kit.

With info in my head it seemed to be the sharpness canal for zander . I had read and seen a picture of a 13lb zander netted by work men on the quedgley stretch ( sadly killed ) a few weeks ago.

So Im going to hit the sharpness canal . Spent the rest of the day in the car zipping to stretches I have been tipped or give the heads up on. Man I must have walked miles.

Ive settled on one stretch of the sharpness canal were I was tipped off on and lucky to bump into a waterways worker and he was full of info from were the roach were in the winter to where fish do get caught if anyone ever goes for them. The guy was tops and not full of the usual bull...

So thats me set with my second venue for a touch of zandering this winter

So a little message to god " sharpness canal zander , oh please just one would be great "

If anyone has any tips on fishing for zander on the sharpness canal I will love you long time
