venturing to new ground

well the week end is upon us again and a few of us will be making our pilgrimage to the banks in order to get a tug or two on our line ,i will be no different and as we head into the last few weeks the my urgentcy to do my quest is drawing near and time is now ebbing away fast .
i have made a decission to move to a new area in the hope of trakking down my dream .
this will mean clearing new swims and generally starting the whole process of feature finding the area again in the hope i can snear the big one ,
i feel this is the right thing to do as i felt i had fished out the previous area and also felt it would be pointless to continue if recaptures started to incurre in which they did .
so hope fully i will be able to report on a good session this week end and i hope my confidence is shown in the results .
but i know its not going to be easy .
so good luck to who ever is going to venture out and i hope you too catch .

tightlines

I hope that you get that elusive monster. You deserve it for the effort that you are putting in.

Re: venturing to new ground

well i went this week end and the first job was to pick the area to fish once this was done the swim had to be clean out and cut out and from the picture below you will see not a bad job was done just glad i had my waders with me to get right out to cut the reeds down

once this was done all rods were set up and despatched to likely area but with the conditions were not got so the wait was on a couple of rig changes to try and catch the odd fish was deployed but the fish were not having it

but i still enjoyed the session and to wake up to this view was worth while on its own

so although i did not catch i enjoyed it and i know now that the hard work of preping is done and it makes next session so much easier
