snow zed

well with all the snow about i could not resist in getting out and trying to catch a zed with now actualy on the ground ,i know i technically caught in the snow the other day but there was no snow on the ground when it was caught.
so of i went driving down to the drains and it started to rain and rain even more this in turn has started to melt the snow so it would be a race against time if i was to complete my quest i was soon walking down the drain with my three rods all ready set up so i could leap frog back along the drain ,
hoping i would come in contact with some zeds .i walked some 750 yards down the drain and this would be my starting point and i would leap frog the rods every twenty minute .
the rods were soon out waiting for an attack from a zed ,the rain was coming down hard and was washing all the snow away was i going to catch ,
the first hour and a half past with no action and i had covered about 200yrds of drain then suddenly my left hand rod was up and away but on reaching the rod i quickly struck and struck into nothing the rod was re baited and sent back to the same spot , another twenty minutes past and i decided to leap frog my far rod i started to approach it when suddenly it was off i quickly was onto it and this time i connected with the surprised fish a battle was short and the zed was soon in the waiting landing net and with the little snow left on the ground i had actually achieved my goal to have one with snow on the ground this fish went 8lb 12oz

it was released and i was happy i did not bother to move and stayed in this area as i had allready had two takes the rod was back out and i did not have to wait long before one of the other rods were off once again but unfortunately i missed it and this was the last take of the evening and as i packed up there was very little snow left on the ground but i had done what i set out to do and for that i,m happy
