xmas zeds report

well after being a good boy and getting all the organisation done for crimbo i got a chance to go one more time before christmas .
it was late and getting dark so i had no time to loose and made my way quickly to my swim rods were put together and quickly despatched to likely area,s .i sat back and poured a coffee outas a drink was well needed and nothing happened for an hour and a half so i decided to up sticks and move another 150 yards down the drain once again the rods were redecorated and despatch to likely area,s ,
after about half an hour a take started to develope on my middle rod out in the centre of the drain and i was quick to the rod but alas the fish aborted the take i quickly checked the bait and put it back out in the middle of the drain . as this was the first indication of fish in the area i wound in my paternoster rig and sent that to the middle of the drain too .
while i was setting the bobbin on this rod my other rod out in the middle was off and i soon swept the rod back to a satifying thump of the zed and quickly it was safely in the net on weighing this chunky zed i was surpised it only went 7lb as it looked bigger .
i released the fish back to its home and soon had the rod back into the centre of the drain a quick check of the other rods and i stood on top of the bank looking down the drain in the dark when suddenly my paternoster was snaffled i gathered the rod up and struck firmly to feel again that shaking of the head as it tries to throw the hooks and make its escape it battle well but it was beaten and defiantly thrashed on the surface before it went into the net.
it was safely unhooked and weighed and another double had been banked at 11lb a nice christmas present for me i thought as i got the camera ready.



again i was happy and watch the zed slowly drift into the depth to reek more havoc later sadly this was the last run tonight but i was over the moon to bank a nice christmas double ,
i hope my good run continues into the new year .
