| throwing rubber about well as i decided that my season is going well i thought i would throw a few rubber lures in the hope a zed would think i was a fish. to make sure i did not change back to bait fishing i left it all at home and just took what i needed i crept along the bank dropping in to various spots and working the lures .close in and then working across the drain desperatly hoping a take would materialise . i kept this up for about three hours and tried several different styles of working the lure and still no joy . from creeping it across the bottom to jigging up and down in the water again a various speed but still not takes came . i worked the water to a frenzy , but as i walk back to the car i could hear the zander laughing at me and they must have been in hesterics watching me trying to imitate a fish . but hopefully i will have the last laugh and trick one into making a mistake sooner or later at least now i have made a start and that gives me a platform to work from. i have to say although i had no zeds i did enjoy it . tightlines baitmaster ![]() |

| I think Lure fishing for Pike and Zander is a bit trial and error, until you hit the right lure at the right time in the right swim........then BINGO!! Good luck with it BM. __________________ Eventually all things merge into one, and a River runs through it. Old Smoothy |Shoot and fish .com |Fishing Holidays | Fly Fishing Tuition |
