pre baiting for preds

form time to time i think we have all prebaited for are given quarry i myself have been guilty of the odd few kilo of spod mix and and boilies for carp and i used to introduce fish chunks in to swims for a periods of time to attract the pike on the slow river of the norfolk broads i now do this in my zandering but instead of introducing dead fish and chunks to my selected swims i introduce ground bait for bream strange i hear you say not so the thing is the zander follow the bream up the drains because as bream feed they colour the water and thats just how zander like it , again i hear you say but bream are well to big for the zeds yes they are but as they cloud the water and the bottom is churned up the little fish are there feeding aswell and because the water is coloured they do not see the zander coming and for this reason i prebait swims this over a period of time can really score highly and a hot spot can be developed again its only a idea but i hope it will give you some ideas that might be relative to your own quarry , also for any one going to target zander there is a another important tip here is to find the bream and zander will not be far away .

tight lines

Re: pre baiting for preds

Very good tip.

I've seen people chucking loads of maggots around their baits to try and attract the prey fish.
