lamprey for zander?

Hey all I've been given a few packs of lamprey by a mate who's decided he don't want to fish anymore and was wondering.. Would lamprey sections be ok for zeds? Would take take em?

I have never done any good with Lamprey, only caught Pike on it, but my mate has used it....I have never seen him catch on it though.

I have read that some anglers swear by it for Zeds.

As Lamprey contains a lot of blood and smell, I would think it would be good if there is a lot of colour or if the river is in flood

Give it ago on a spare rod for a few trips, you never know.

As its a freebbie , dnt mess about, fish it whole with a hook at the head and one four inches down, sadly my supply has run out, but them zeds love a lampray, enjoy!!!

Actually you have inspired me, I'll be lamping soon and we can compare results
