Roswell Pits- Any info much appreciated!

Hi there,

Looking at heading up Roswell soon, never fished there before and looking for some pointers as to how it fishes for Zander and Pike and any advice for how to tackle the place.

Any tips very much appreciated,

Hello Mate,

Daylight best for Pike , night best for Zander , Pike... float or bottom works well....Zander bottom with scaled down tackle.....When you come through the main gate you will see one pit on the right and one huge one on the left , turn left just along the way and fish the pads swims ... another good swim is the channel where the two pits join , another good set of swims although hard to to get to (boat) are the Island swims.

There are fish there , its not easy nor hard , if you hit it on the right day you can have a proper result , on the wrong day a BLANK or series of BLANKS , however , its a while since I fished there and its SUPPOSED to have slowed down It is what I would call a premier Z water , as for Pikw who knows whats in there , could throw up a record , as its connected to the river system
