cold morning

well i didnt go zedding last night, but i did go piking this morning. got to the chosen drain thin layer of ice covering it, not a problem me thinks, so i walk the half mile or so to the chosen swim.
Baits on cast out, the baits punch through the ice, alarms set, an hour passes then the drain is being run off... now ive got rafts of ice dragging my baits down the drain.
Hour and a half passes no fish the drain slows up, i fished for about another 3 hours not a touch,, packed up came home... until next time
