You'd be most welcome mate. Pike or carp rods or even light bass rods will suffice. Fixed spool reels loaded with 12-15lb line & a few semi- barbless pike traces. Small freshwater fish such as rudd, roach or gudgeon for bait. Sea baits such as mackerel or sprat will catch pike, but not so good for zander.

recon we should see if the canal is frozen before we decide, or we could play ice hockey with a dead roach and banksticks!
