My zander /pike report ,

Firstly i would like to thank Headless for his fantastic hospitality .This guy renewed my faith in the human race

Any way
Myself and Mrs R were up bright and early to head down sarf arriving about 2pm ish stopping for a meal on the way down .
We met up at Darrells home where we were given some fine food ,we then retired to a hotel to rest up ready for the sleep interrupted nights we were expecting .
We arrived at the lake about 10ish and after looking around the lake we decided on our swims ,
3 barrow journeys later and a oxygen mask we got set up ,
My self fishing against a reed bed , Mrs R fishing a swim with open water in front of her with a reed bed to either side .
Darrell fished a swim with a reed bed in front ,

Ihad first blood catching a small jack .

then darrell had a small zed

Then early hrs i had my target a small Zed. It was a very clear nigh but not really cold .

.During the night both Darrell and myself dropped fish /fish dropping the bait
i lost a bigger pike due to some snags .

Mrs R who was after the elusive carp started catching bream in the 2.5 /3lb size with a few smaller ones .
The next day i spent with the mrs bit/bait fishing and not putting any rods out , Even the bait fish were not about

That evening i had a couple of more small jacks ,but no zeds .while Darrell had a couple of small Zeds A cloudy night but warm .

following day
I bait fished again this time we managed to get some .

Later i put baits out and the mrs changed tactic,s going for pike /zed where she was unlucky to lose 2 fish ,Pike ..
I had one dropped bait early hours .
Overcast and woke up to drizzle ,
Darrell was away early so we took our time packing away getting away about 10ish with a leasurely drive home stopping off once again for a bite to eat ,
Sundays dinner

All in all a great few days , fished with a cracking guy .
Just a shame the fish did not play ball much

Re: My zander /pike report ,

Well done I came home Sunday with a big fat blank mate so you did rather well in comparison. Well I did catch a perch with a pike attached, didn't land the pike but managed the perch even tho it was slightly chewed
