| First zander In Daylight got to the swim a good 2 hours before darkness, 2 rods baited and cast to far bank, within 15 minutes first bite, bobbin slowly rising strike nothing, reel in check bait and recast. Bait falls 2 foot short from last position, less than 10 minutes and a screaming run, strike and into a fish, its fighting well, i thought it was a small pike but no its a zed about 4lb first ever for me in daylight. Time passes its now dark and only a couple of bleebs , all of a sudden screaming run, fish off like a shot bobbin smashes into rod blank, quick strike and in again short fight , landed unhooked and returned safely again about 4lb. Fished for another hour no more bites so called it a night, must admit i was feeling quite chuffed with myself (easily pleased). This zander fishing is slightly addictive |
