Re: advice needed Hi, The levels been tough for the last couple of seasons with,in my opinion, being down to the massive head of prey fish. As for areas mate, one can be as good as the other with hotspots being around bridges and anywhere theres a change in depth. All in all, its a tough water that doesnt take prisoners, but the rewards are there. Kings Lynn AA run the fishing and if you want to night fish its a £40.00 club book. Kind regards Andy

Re: advice needed £40!!! thats gone up :-(( ... i had a couple of seasons on there and struggled with lots of blanks tho i did have a pb and lost one same size on my first trip, check out the Kings Lynn Web page as some times there is a bit of info there on their news / specimen page, perhaps the ballifs might give you some guidance, but when i went there it was pretty deserted through the winter, then i figured i am driving past loads of Zeds so i stopped fisihing it and concentrated on elsewhere best of luck

Re: advice needed Hey Tony, I was down the Level a couple of weeks back for a two nighter but with Eels nailing both lives and deads it was a proper mare.Anyway,I soldiered on but the second day some eastern lads turned up and decided to plonk themselves right next to me.I was well and truly outnumbered mate and they didnt seem to friendly a bunch. It was only when they set their rods up that alarm bells started.Basically they had six or seven foot toy rods pointing skywards with a bell attached to the tip for bite indication and no landing net between them. I decided that a move was in order and was at Ten Mile Bank within the hour and caught a jack for me efforts. About nine pm a kings lynn bailiff approached me and introduced himself as Ashley Brown. He had just left the Level and single handedly eradicated the afore mentioned group and went on to tell me that he was off to the Relief Channel for more of the same. Shortly after, the EA arrived and said they had caught sixteen without licences just that day. Anyway enough of my ranting but three cheers for Ashley Brown

Re: advice needed Sadly mate this is becoming more of a problem every year.Dont get me wrong,I have chatted with quite a few decent Eastern lads who are very pro catch and release but its the gangs that blatently flaunt the law and take everything they catch whilst leaving litter in their wake. As a friend of mine quoted, it only takes a few doubles to be removed to ruin a fishery for quite some time.
