I Fished Popped Up Roach On Both Rods,, 1 Cast To Far Bank And The Other In The Middle Of The Drain. Still 45 Minutes Of Daylight Left, 30 Minutes In Far Bank Rod Is Away, Quick Strike Into A Zed,,
I get The Zed Half Way Across The Drain And Hooks Pull Out,, Shame Felt Like A Half Decent Fish Aswell. Rebait And Cast Back Out. Nothing For Over An Hour Then Far Bank Rod Signals Life, I Hover Over The Rod Waiting For The Run To Start, But Nothing
15 Minutes Later Reeled In Rebaited And Recast,Another Hour Of Silence So Reeled In And Packed Up, Thinking Shame About The Lost Fish

That's Zander fishing for you, we all have had those days and we will have more of them. On a positive note, you have found an area where the Zander are, so next session could be the one that produces. We are finding it hard to track the Zander down at the moment, the feeling is that there is so much bait about that the Zeds do not need to travel so far after the bait fish so are staying in the same areas

I never wait for a run to develop, any sign of a bite and I strike,. as an example, I meet JP from this forum for a few hours on the Ouse at the beginning of the year and I had bites which the hanger rose an inch and then dropped, nothing more, I was thinking that it was crayfish, I decided to sit right tight to the rod and strike at the next indication, it resulted in the only Zander the day. Some days they charge off some days they don't

I am fishing for three days and nights with Nick R in a couple of weeks time on the Ouse, if you fancy ago at the Zander for a few hours you are more than welcome to join us, at least I can have a decent conversation then. Only joking Nick

Thanks for the invite Darrell, but unfortunately I am going away in the next couple of weeks, I'm off to Stratford-upon-avon for a few days next week and the week after I am off to in Wimbourne in Hampshire to visit my sister and wet a rod if I get time.

Perhaps we can get a day after them in the new year some time.
