Spinning out from Swaffam

Does anyone know some good spots for spinning for Zander east of Swaffam ?
Have to attend the funeral of an elderly aunt on Friday and I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I stop for a few casts when driving back to Somerset on Saturday afternoon.
I know I'll be passing the Great Oase , the Nene as well as some drains. After failing to make contact with a zed at the forum meet the other day I'm keen to have another go but need to travel light and don't think that deadbaits & family gatherings mix too well .

Re: Spinning out from Swaffam

If you can get to the Ouse at Ely on Friday I should be there, there is a free stretch in the town, the polish (good ones) and locals are catching plenty of small Zander

I fish out of the town area and the Zander tend to be on the larger size, this is a day ticket water, tickets from the baliffs on the bank
