Bite alarms

I have been having a few problems with my Fox M indicators, they have frozen a couple of times lately (not surprising with this weather) and also have not registered runs when the line has come out of the clip, I think the wheel system is not sensitive enough I have been looking at the different alarms on the market and I am gob smacked at some of the prices, some over £700.00, I am thinking of purchasing 3 of the Delkin EV Plus alarms, I have read Richard's (fishing forum admin) tread and the replies on them in 06, just wondering what you think of them or is there now a better option for similar money bearing in mind they will be used 90% of the time for Zander Darrell

Re: Bite alarms

Hello, I don't know what is your fishing method exactly, in my case I fish actively (lures, soft baits, jibs, cochard weight etc) and I don't need any bite detector, and I'd say that detacting the bites is one of the best parts of fishing!!!
I use sensitive rods and it's a real pleasure to "listen to" what's happening in the water!
