Re: New Zander meet Date Poll

The Job I had for today cancelled due to low cloud so I thought I'd nip over and see what was happening at the canal.

Someone had a 20lb pike just before I arrived I believe. It was good to see a great turnout, and great to put some faces to the names.

Sorry I missed Rich catching a 14lb pike, but I was in KFC defrosting.

I did see one beautiful fish caught though. Well done that man!

I've never seen a fish like this before, but it gave Lee some stick

Re: New Zander meet Date Poll

Another fantastic forum meet...oh how I love this 'getting togethers'...the company of awesome peeps, meeting some real nice new forum members and getting spoilt rotten with plenty of liquid to keep the bones warm and even an 'on bank kitchen' was provided by Darrel with bacon rolls for all. topped with some cracking banter and a fab meal and a few pints in the Pilot Inn to top the day off. Fishing can't get better...oh maybe just a tad better, a fish would have been nice lol lol

Thanks to all for another great day and congrats to those who caught

oops and I almost forgot...we also had some very tasty famous pingu pies again

Re: New Zander meet Date Poll

Another excellent Forum meet. 12 members fished with another 2 dropping by to say hello (Just Mark & Jerry T). I think the furthest travelled was Headless (Darrell) who came all the way fron Suffolk. Nice meeting you mate & thanks for the excellent bacon rolls & Champange. Thanks also to Pingu for the supurb pies & for Just Mark for popping up from Exeter to photograph the event. Big thanks too for everyone else who turned up & made it another cracking meet. Only one Zander caught this year. A nice 4lb fish to Darrell. Several nice pike caught, topped by Bananna Steve's cracking 18lb4oz speciemen. A new PB I believe. Well done mate. Hopefully there's a few more pics to follow from other members including Richards (FFAs) 14lb fish & Darrels Zed..
Heres a few that I took..........

Steve's new PB

TJ with a nicely marked fish

JP with a good fish caught on a spinner

A few pre-dinner drinks at the Pilot inn in the evening....

Everyone tucking in to a well earned meal.

JP enjoying some of Darrell's fine Champange

Pingu wondering who ate all the pies?

Bananna Steve deny's eating all the pies

TJ's hand goe's up to admit to eating all the pies...

Thanks again to those who attended & here's to another sucessfull meet next year..

Those who attended were:
Twiddler
Richard (FFA)
Headless
Kabby Chris
Bananna Steve
Ben Lee
Lman
JP
Pingu
TJ
Roger
Just Mark
Jerry T

Oh, & I nearly forgot to mention, I Blanked
