Re: Fox zandermaster rod i dont think Zander need their own rods really as a decent carp /soft pike rod will do so it was probably driven by a "sales" opportunity as essentially you just need a rod capable of getting the size of bait to the fish and then playing the fish in and if you look through the rod suppliers catalogues, you will see all sorts of rods, barbell, method rods, tenchfloat etc etc. but I like them as they make a good all rounder and suit my zander venues as they do not need a huge cast tony

Re: Fox zandermaster rod I was not knocking the fact you used them ,it was what was so special about z rods ,when i thought a good 1 3/4 tc carp rod would do the same job another gimmick then , like having a marker and needing a spod rod too

Re: Fox zandermaster rod thats ok, i know you were not knocking so this is not gonna escalate lol but a gimmick might be harsh, there is a bit of stifnes in the middle of the blank, so deffo not an avon type but not tippy either, hard to explain!! a 1 3/4 would be a bit light for zander ing i feel as you can have a 2 oz lead and a 4inch bait, so 2 1/4 i would say is a better call
