Thumbs up Diary of the day Admin tries to kill a moderator ;-)

8am left house
was really looking forward to this trip so off earlier than planned, trip being up to see Richard( Mr Admin) and try for a zander / pike on the canal and then a few beers and curry after

10am at richards

10.30ish, set up beside this awsome bridge

Richard hasnt been out for a while as he needs to be accompanied when out in public now( part of his asbo)
and we unfortunately found the water was a chocolate soup not good , but still we shall give it a bash

12noon pie time

know twiddles is going to hate me for that picture
12.45 I catch a horrible snotty rig ruining eel about 1.5lb, rich has pictures

2pm icey cold rain came in, decision quickly made to abort fishing and go for plan b BEER!! and hopefully the rugby, so a quick turnarround at richards with a can of speckled and his prediction that it may all get messy later

2.40 pm in richards local to find they dont have sky for the rugby ( first 2 proper pints)

3,10 pm In Mike teagues pub in gloucester for rest of match , (and 4 or 5 more pints )

6 pm back at Richards local for some more beer( 2 more i think)(then the killer blow for me bottle number 1 of the wine)

9pm curry house( god i really needed this food now) lovely curry and another bottle of wine , that was the final nail in the coffin for this moderator

9.40/10pm Dead in bed

8am sunday My god I'm alive still , up and feeling good after a longer than usual sleep

home by 10,30 and mrs p wondered why i still wasnt fishing today( dare i head of to canal now)

Damn Good day though, Richards Hospitality is awsome, and his prediction that would be a messy night was spot on
sorry i failed makeing club etc mate, maybe next time thats if we dont start drinking at 2

cheers Boss

dave

ps dreading the pictures rich has from curry house

Too darn right I hate you for that picture now...giving MY pingu pies away

Shame you didn't get to catch any fish but I think the beer, wine and curry made up for it.

BTW Boss....you looking good, lost some weight????

Re: Diary of the day Admin tries to kill a moderator ;-)

Can I just add my weight to the "Oi, where's my pie?" campaign?

Sounds like a cracking day. Must have been if Dave got shown how to drink....

Well done gents.

Re: Diary of the day Admin tries to kill a moderator ;-)

How bl@dy irresponsible are you lot?

All them young anglers watching what you do and what is your contribution ?

Go fishing down a cold wet canal ,

then retreat to the pub to watch the rubgy,

having a few pints, glass or two of wine then a curry,

How could you ?

Encouraging the young uns to go out in the cold when there's a prefectly warm pub.
