| Re: spinning at night for zeds Hi mate I notice no one has replied to your thread so I thought i would give it ago I have never tried spinning at night for Zander but i can't see why it should not work. I personally would try sink and draw, if you are intent on trying a different method, I would start with a half decent sized Roach dead bait, this method will work the bait a bit slower giving the Zander a better opportunity like I said i have not tried this method at night for Zander but can not see why it should not work Maybe try this technique when you are getting runs on more traditional tactics, this way you know the Zander are about which gives you a better chance to see if it works I am not sure whether Rossie has a good population of Zander, it probably depends on time of year as it is connected to the Ouse If you try Spinning or sink and draw I wish you luck and keep us informed Darrell |

| Re: spinning at night for zeds I'd agree with Darrell on this one. If you look at a Zanders eyes, it's obvious that they are designed for operating in low light conditions & I also think they would pick up on the vibrations given off by a lure. I've caught Trout on tiny flies in pitch darkness so I'm sure a Zed could detect a large lure. Let us know how you get on. Good luck. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |
