summer zedding

Hi folks, Has anybody been out Zedding since the 16th?. Had a couple of sessions on the Ouse and a single session on the Level with a few fish to 8lb but generally its been slow going . I always fish the Ouse in June but tend to leave July/August as the water temps can soar which isnt great for the old Zeds when it comes to recovering.
Anyway, ill be fishing klaa waters this year in the hope of landing a biggie from pastures new.

Had a daytime foray on a stretch of the old nene last week. I cannot not believe the amount of weed that is growing at the moment. The old nene and related drains are engulfed in it. It's like fishing in nettle soup.

Know what you mean mate,the Forty Foot does the same every summer and I often wonder if its down to nutrient enrichment from farmland. the Old Nene is a bonny river and always plan to give it a bash but havent got around to it yet.

Must admit when I went to the severn last week the place looked like it could turn up some very good size zander as there was load of bait fish so might give it a go the end of sept

Fancy a trip to the Severn,particularly Upton, so a couple of questions for you midland lads.
Does the river in this region have good bank fishing? and prices on day tickets/membership?.

see a guy in the angling times from worcester had a 17 pound zander the other week. by upton

there is a good day ticket place on the seven at ripple by upton. its on the baa water and its around the area the record zander was had 21 lbs
