Re: A tale from the ouse

nice bit of pace on the river today, bright sky, high pressure and a tail of a sardine......so i am expecting a pike....and along comes a 8lb zed, weird....

Re: A tale from the ouse

Well done fella, excellent result with the zander, especially when caught on a fragment of sardine! I fished the ouse on Thursday and unfortunately Ten Mile Blanked again. And yes the river looked beautiful with a nice flow. My original setting for that days fishing was the cut off channel at Roxham bridge. Water didn't look too good and with the car having collected half of Norfolk under it's wheel arches, I decided to head on to the ouse. Chatted to the bailiff who stated that there had been a zed capture, must've been your good self. With only a few days left of the season, I will probably have one more outing. Might try the twenty foot for a hopeful daylight fish. As a matter of interest, has anyone fished the tidal New Bedford?

Re: A tale from the ouse

no zed action on saturday / sunday :-( --- but a good 15lb pike was some consolation. But Zedding on the Ouse will be put to one side till the end of the season now sadly, but i lost such a huge fish on sat night, i didnt see it, but you know that feeling when a big pike can just takes line at will against a stiff clutch and just wont stop lol... it was on for a while and then just shed the hook, i was not happy, with only a few days left this season i figure i have to have a go for her, so i will leave the zeds for the rest of you

good luck
