goodbye fishingmagic and hello

anyone else gobsmacked at the immenent closure of fishingmagic??

i always felt there was a good level of activity there and some useful content, dave marrs was a regular on there some time ago and put up some good tales and there was a healthy predator page with lots of variety and useful stuff.

hope this web / forum might prove to be a decent replacement / alternative

views?? anyone else use fishing magic or other sites?
Tony

Re: goodbye fishingmagic and hello

FishingMagic used to be a very good site with a lot of very helpful guys on there but of late the moderators have been a bit lax and there is just too much back stabbing.

Real shame!

Re: goodbye fishingmagic and hello

I was a member of fishing magic, and agree with Teefy Fings that towards the end there were a lot of silly goings on, back stabbing and things. I am looking forward to being a member of this venture and meeting new friends. Tight lines to everyone, JOHN

Re: goodbye fishingmagic and hello

I must admit, I was about to join Fishing Magic last year. And I,m glad that I did not due to all the bickering that goes on, and it,s nothing but a clique.

This forum I will admit, I first looked in now and again and found it the total opposite, and that,s what I liked about this forum, everyone IS treated in the same way.

Re: goodbye fishingmagic and hello

fishingmagic is still going as it is now owned by fish and fly . We are not cliquey it takes a while to get to know us and with the bickering just ignore it.

Re: goodbye fishingmagic and hello

The nowt wrong with Fishingmagic at least they welcome there new members!!!!
"Clicky" get a grip were not in the school playground now.
Fishingmagic or FMcarp is here to stay, the credit crunch got the better of FM`s owners "magicallia" think thats how you spell it and made cuts so that entailed shutting the doors on FM. Now the new owners are fish & fly so were here to stay and FM is still the best overall angling forum. There maybesome difficulties logging on the new site as the switch over takes a lot of work and time to get it right and running efficiantly.
