Re: Roswell Pits nr Ely Hi, I did a new pb of 15lb 1oz back in early November above Ely. Unfortunately I was broke into by some oxygen thieving scrotes late October who stole my Digital camera amongst other stuff. All I had with me was a throw away Kodak at the time and a dog walker kindly reeled off some shots which turned out well, anyway, I went to my Dads and scanned the best pic to send into Anglers mail but they Emailed back my Dad ( yep, they nicked my computer as well) saying that the quality of picture had to be 2 mb or better i think. I have Emailed them back saying that I will send the original picture if that will suffice but im still waiting for a reply. The biggun was the only fish of the night with a schoolie dropping off at the net early on .

Re: Roswell Pits nr Ely Strange thing is mate, I was tempted to fish the town centre stretch that night but a few lads arrived and I decided to lug the gear well downstream. Luckily id brought a very large retention net and staked the fish out in deep water which i kept checking every ten minutes as I couldnt sleep afterwards. The fish came at 11pm and I dont think it fought that well to be honest and I only realised it was a bit special when the net arms started to bend when lifting it from the water. I know the Ouse hasnt got a reputation for really big Zeds (17s upwards) but Im convinced its only a matter of time till it throws one or two up. Best of luck tonight mate your certainly a brave lad in those temps, you deserve a big Zed and let us know how youve fared. Tight lines Andy

Re: Roswell Pits nr Ely Hi Andy, My mate and his mate were fishing overnight at Ely town center early November. One had an 8lber but they said that a chap turned up and went the other side of the bridge before the club stretch. They mentioned to me a chap had a 16lber, was that you? If it was well done mate, lovely fish!

Re: Roswell Pits nr Ely No mate, ive not done a sixteen yet, but there were some fellers fishing the town centre that night, november 3rd to be exact and I let them know that id had a fifteen. It could well be them, I think a sixteen is a real possibility but theres not half some bullshitters who come along with talk of 18s and 19s .
