Roswell Pits nr Ely

Had a look down the old west from near fish and duck at dawn this morning, but not confident as I saw no roach topping hiked to past the lagoon.

Then travelled to past Ely and fished near the confluence to the lark river till 2 hours into darkness, still no Zander, could not manage any livies either.

Any other suggestions anyone?

fish the ely town center and fish the out let pipe for the lives and get the lives down on the bottom on a float you should catch a zander

thanks perch king, what is the closest street name to park? sorry I dont know Ely?

go down willow walk road and you can park next to the river or in a car park at the bottom off the road. have a look on google map and you will see

i went to roswell last sunday,3 of us,and all we caught was a pike just over 10 lb. Only had 1 bite all day apart from that. Thinking of going next saturday night fishing there. We fished on the left pit as u go thru the Enviroment place. Ayone got any advice on where the zander hang out?

Daggerhammer I spoke to the bailiff yesterday about Roswell, apparently it is Gin clear at the moment and does not fish for Zander very well whilst it is like this. Need some heavy rain I guess?

i fished roswell friday night, water was coloured after the early rain and i had a 6 lber, bloomin cold night !! any colour in the lake was dropping out fast when i left early sat morning, but i guess yesterday night it could have fished really well after rain and wind, sadly i was not out then. could try this friday but as its high pressure i might wait until weather changes

intersting feature on zander being netted in the relief channel on the KLAA web site, tho i look at the relielf channel and think " where would I start"...thats not a request to ask someone to drop me on the fish, just my view as there is a heck of a lot of river. Think i will stick to roswell etc.. seems some zander are coming out of the small clay pit oppo roswell !! any one tried it??

i've whimped out of fishing tonight, too cold at my age lol...perhpas next week it will be blowing a nice mild westerly with a bit of cloud and 8 degrees overnight, good luck if your out there !!

looking better for later this week, good temps and S Westerlies so its Friday off for me as domestic duties over the weekend so I hope the zeds are on the munch!! Any one had some action??

any one having a go for the zeds in / around Ely? i 've hada couple of doubles so the season has started ok,
plus heard of a 15, not any where near me but nice for someone
