Re: ramsey forty foot

Hi Glen, let me know when you go and i will try to pop down, getting bait there is easy unless there is a major frost, i might try tomorrow depending on the weather, if the wind dies down as it is so open.

Do you know any other venues good for zander?

cheers Darrell

Re: ramsey forty foot

going on 28th december cant miss us got a red frontera 4wd, i am 5ft 7&steve 6ft 5 so we look like little&large!will be there early.not been out&out zander fishing for years so am out of touch with venues.after looking on websites looks as though the fenland drains still seem to be the best bet.will be taking a selection of deadbaits coarse and sea.getting my dead coarse from online baits on ebay superb quality at good prices if bought in bulk as you pay the same p&p no matter what you have, they also do sea deads but you might as well buy from a supermarket when they are in season.will take a whip just in case we need lives.hope you can make it.glenn

Re: ramsey forty foot

will try 28th, should not be a problem, lets see what the weather is like, let me know nearer the time where you will be, you might be little and large but the forty foot is a long barren piece of water and i am sure your mate wont stand out that much

cheers Darrell

Re: ramsey forty foot

Hi Glen
Nice to meet you and your mate, how did you get on?. we moved to the Ramsey Bridge, my mate caught a 8lb pike which had a set of trebles in its guts, took ten mins to get out

the fishing was poor, the worst day i have had there, i could not even get any roach.

i had a large Perch and a few Ruffe but no runs on dead baits

speaking to other anglers they all struggled as well

i will try again later in the year

Good luck for the new year

Darrell
