what a cold night :( but happy :)

well i finaly got out this weekend for after about 1months no fishing due to being ill. well i choose my venue for the night so headed off there about 5 o clock pm. and guess what 2 forigners there so i had a walk over to them but did not say nothing to them. so then i walk a couple off swims up from there and notice a mop bucket pink one lol in a swim along with a net in the water. i could see dead fish in the bucket roach perch skimmers that type off thing. so then went and got my gear and got setup up. and rods out just waiting for that magic hour then got the odd bleeps then at about 10pm. got a few beeps all in one go then stop. then the swinger shop up and i was on to it and it felt good. and it was giveing a great fight got it up and a nice zander weiging in at 7lb 1oz chuffed i was after sitting out in the cold.

so then out the rod went again and got back in the bivvy to sleep. i kept hearing the odd beeps nothing to get me out the bivvy .so then at about 12am i recast the rods all my fish had no heads lol eels i bet. so then got back in the bivvy then got woken at 1.15am my alrms going so fell out the bivvy. and onto the rod and it was hooked another good fight and yes another zander weigh in at 6lb dead on.

so then got the rod back out and went asleep again till 5.45. as it was then getting daylight in the distance cold and foggy. forceps frozen to the mat

so then at about 7am started to pack things away and head off home. as a few people was arriving to fish and the 2 forngers turn up again with his pink mop bucket lol

Nice fishing is that. Would it not be worth reporting to KLAA about these possible poachers? I'm guessing its KLAA by the pics.

Re: what a cold night :( but happy :)

Hi, New on here but not to Zandering. Nice couple of fish them mate, was out myself on the Ouse sunday night with the fishing going great during the first part of the night but as the sky cleared and the temp plummeted the action ceased.
Perch King, your dead right, it was proper brass monkeys during the night with a slight ground frost but came away happy myself with a zed bang on 10lb.
Its not on those lads were let off with the ticket money as I got banged 36 quid for one night only on Ten Mile Bank on Saturday night.
