Hi The match which is to be held on the Avon at tewkesbury (although it's more like an informal fish-in with prizes) is organised by the "Lure Anglers society" and is open to all members...membership is just £17.00 and has many benefits...full details here http://www.lureanglers.co.uk/newJoin.htm As you can probably guess it's a lure only match and is actually for all predators with prizes for best Pike, best perch Etc Etc...the LAS are a happy band and if you want to find out more about Lure fishing and meet some like minded souls then Join today!!

Re: first Zed!

Hi

mark you can still turn up on the day and pay as a non-menber it was £14 to fish last year - My first time was last year and like me you prob want to know more before you join

My advice is turn up on the day ( see event link http://www.lureanglers.co.uk/newEventDetails.htm) for more detail nearer the time ( not sure when) - for time and direction and where we will meet.

There was one fish-in at the gloucester canal not on the events link as it was a local event not like this one, will be a big un , and as i was a non-member then i didnt find out the details till late and nearly missed it

what i am trying to say is if it is not updated on the link contact me via this forum and i will get all the details you need.

As john said there are benifits when you join there is a quarterly mag and other comps which are for menbers only and a forum with tips and loads of banter.

I will be driving a dark blue focus estate come over and say hello and i will introduce you to some of the others - last year i just turned up paid on the day met a few of the guys and followed them as they were local and knew the best spots and had a good day out.

cheers terry
