| new member hi all, new to the forum so a big hello to you all. first time I've seen this forum, thought I might be able to learn a few tricks of the trade with regards to zander fishing. I fish my local water that produces zeds to 14lb and have been lucky enough myself to have caught a few doubles up to my pb of 11lb 4oz. but I want to try the fens next season and was wondering if a boat would be an advantage or a hinderence? I know it can be benificial to pike fishing on some waters with trolling and bait fishing being well documented, but how about boat methods for zander? ![]() |

| Re: new member thanks for the welcome guys, is anyone still fishing for predators? I fish for pike and zeds untill end of may and pretty-much hang up my rods untill oct. occasionally I manage the odd session for eels but usually spend a bit more time with the wife during the warmer weather (well she is a "fishermans widow" for the other 8 months) also gonna do some exploring while I'm not fishing, have a 100 acre pit to try that's only being fished by carp anglers, there are pike present but not shure about the prey-fish numbers. then there's the fens, have a few ideas of where to look as a result of last years sessions. |
