Matt Hayes and Mick Brown, fishing for Zander with lures and dead baits?
Remarkable show - I confess to knowing absolutely zilch about fresh water fishing - but that I would love to try....

....Kevin (Baitmaster), no the wonder you love them zeds mate...what a hard scrapping fish....I would love to give that a go...

Paul

Re: Anyone see it today...??

its very difficult to know exactly where zander have spread to but since the original 97 fingerling zander were put into relief channe back in 1963 this is how far they have spread through out England not sure if there are any near you john but some of these places might not be to far away
there will no doubt be other places where they have spread to via river systems or by the help of man that i don,t yet know of but i,m all ways looking and are interested in any reported captures through out england to update my map of zander .. where abouts

all the fen drains cut off ,relief channel, the old bedford ,the delph , the middle leve,l well creek, popham eau ,the new popham eua, morton's leam ,sixteen foot ,the forty foot ,the twenty foot (there are probably other small drains i,ve not i have not mentioned )
the river ouse
the little ouse
river wissey
Roswell pits
wyboston lagoon
River Severn,
river Avon(Warwickshire),
Stratford and Grand Union canal
Counter Drain,
North and South Drove
Vernatti,s
river yare (first reported capture this year )
Oxford Canal,
Gloucester Canal
Birmingham to Worcester Canal
Bury Hill
Frisby Pits
Wintons Fishery
River Welland..
Woburn Abbey
river lea
River Glen
The Coventry canal
The River Soar,
Trent & Mersey canal
South Holland Drain
Rutland and Graffham waters
Teme (Lower reaches (not above Powick weir)
Thames (Upper reaches)
Trent (Lower Tidal reaches) probably through all the Trent system now
The Suffolk Stour
Abberton Reservoir (Arrived via pipelines from the fens).
claydon lakes
Tydd Cut
French Drove
River Cam
river lark
the nene system

Re: Anyone see it today...??

That is a pretty comprehensive list Kev, but you missed one!

Stanborough Lakes at Welwyn garden City - up to 14lb - entered when the Lea floods into the lake (They used to say you couldn't put them back! I hope they stopped that practice!)
