reflection on the season

well with only ten days left and thew weather being pants and i know for a fact that the drains going to be out of sorts and my chances of getting out are starting to look grim but i,m going to keep my fingers crossed that i get another chance to get out ( i hope ) .
but to cheer me up i thought i would reflect on the season that seems to have flown by .
now it does not seem that long ago when i started the season and getting the urge to go earlier than normal and during september saw me craddling a cracking specimen of 12lb

also this season i,ve fished with other who i,de met for the frist time and are now great freinds

norfolkboy

barrie c

gary aka ( lure miester)

i,ve been privaledge to help others catch there first zeds but it took a couple of sessions didn,t it dan ? but it will be a moment dan will not forget well done mate

my season continued steaderly and a few good doubles came my way like this specimen
12lb 6oz

but if i had to pick out a moment in the season it would have to be when i banked a high brace of zander in november during a very hectic session

but not all zander were big to be memorable moments like my first lure caught zed

i continued in catching good specimen while hopping from venue to venue like this 11lber

with the new year starting i was still catching well and started the new year with yet another double

then the season took a turn for the worse with the firstly the cold snap then the constant wet weather saw me struggling but i came through the difficult and i was happy though as i,de caught more zeds than ever .
and i also like to think i helped barrie in catching a monster of 15lb plus top angling mate

so now that brings me right back to now and i hope i can get out and a catch another zed or two but we will see and hope i get my chance and i hope good fortune will shine on me and i get rewarded with the fish i continue to dream about

well i did manage one last trip out and it was good to finish in style with my 9th double of the year in the form of this 10lb 120z specimen .
which finished of another target aswell in the form of catching a double figure zander of every drain i fished this season

Re: reflection on the season

Great post Kev.

Like you have said, my first zed is a moment I will never forget and I have you to thank for that.

Even the blank sessions were good fun, and to see you with catching the fish you love most was great, I look forward to seeing you cradling a 15lb+ zed soon!

It's a shame we never managed more sessions than we did, but there is always next season!

What a season it was for you....you might not have caught the 15lb+ but you certainly had some fantastic zeds.

Most of all, you always done a superb write up on your catches, very well written, informative and entertaining. It always showed your passion and dedication.........

Good luck for the next season Kev and I have no doubt you will get the zed of your dream....and please keep up the good work on your reports

Re: reflection on the season

Been a funny old season hasn't it Kev? Still more Zeds than ever before surely means that it's only a matter of time before one of them is the lunker you've been chasing. In the mean time just enjoy the thrill of the chase mate.

Great reports & superb fish. It's not been a bad season eh???

Re: reflection on the season

Looks like you have had a great season really Kev by most peoples standards, there is some cracking fish shown in the photos.
Im confident you will get your 15lber sooner rather than later and i will look forward to reading your report about it, it still might be this season yet mate if you can get another session in.

regards robm.
