Re: fishing new passage

Well First of all good luck and wish I could come

Think you will have to get there in good time before the fishing starts as its a sat and might get a bit full

Well I think the bait is the good old worm tips with squid on a pennel

There are some very wise guys on this forum for the area so Im sure they will chip in

Re: fishing new passage

The Best Tackle / Bait To Use Is Pully Rig With Two Black Aberdean Size 4.0 Hooks Best Bait Is A Cocktail Of Lug /rag Both Tipped Off With Squid On Your Top Hook I Allways Put A Squid Head On. Due To The Strong Tide I Use A 5 . 5 Oz Gemini Sinker With Grippers.

Re: fishing new passage

If you use the Avonmouth tide times you shouldn't be far off. Looking like good conditions coming up with high pressure and cold weather. Leave some for me though!

Cool Re: fishing new passage

If its New Passage you will have broken ground in front of you with rough ground up to 40-50 yards out then shingle , sand and some mud plus some small roughish stuff.

To the right there is a corner spot that you want to try and get to before everyone else. fish over onto the mud bank and there is a shingle/sandy patch, try and cast to it. If not any of the three pegs to the left of there. Cast about 80-90 yards out for best results.

Best time for fish is 2 hours before high and 1 hour after most fish come 1 hour or so before high water.
Good luck and tight lines.
