OK Juan, looks like we have a bit of an invasion force building up, just need to have the word to "Man the Boats" and we'll be paddling over! Any news on possible dates for a shore fest yet?

Re: Gower Peninsula - Meet hey welsh wizard cheers mate. we are lookin for a weekend in june or july which has tides between 38ft and 41ft preferably with high tide around late afternoon. if you could possibly have a quick scan and type the dates with the tide times and heights which fit this criteria i will create a new thread detailing what i intend doing to all these English people when they invade our coastline! lol on a serious note though if you would do that for me that will enable me to host a forum fishing bonanza consisting of; *An 8hr boat trip fishing light line tactics on the drift for bass and black bream *An early morning bass session where I will blindfold all attendees and take them to my favourite mark for plugging *And last but certainlyy not least a 5-6hr session where we will head toward Bluepool or Worms Head and target the smoothhound. Of course this will be 2 days of fishing - I will be happy to assist in arranging camping or accomodation for those interested in attending both days or you are welcome to attend one or the other. Anyway - if you can get some nice weekend tides for june and july posted here I will write a proper thread and see what interest we have. Cheers mate John __________________ South Wales Angling Guide - Shore Angling in South Wales

Re: Gower Peninsula - Meet thanx rob. unfortunately if you wish to camp i can only think of two suitable campsites. lets see - theres port eynon on the south coast of gower. the campsite is a whopping 2minutes walk from the beach and rock marks (12lb bass and 11lb bass were the last tiddlers i heard of coming from here last november to the same angler!!). Facilities include chip shops and even a shop where u can buy bucket and spades - just incase u feel like exploiting the untouched lugworm beds on the beach. or perhaps if push comes to shove you would have to camp at Llangennith. Again 2minutes from the beach - and yes this is the beach that a 16lb 30z former welsh record bass was caught from in the 70's. Theres a pub full of surfey chicks and a free minibus that ferries u from the pub to the only club on gower and then back to the campsite for a fee of £2!! camping here costs £11 per night per tent. if you would like to learn more about llangennith take a look at the pics and info on my website (at the bottom of this thread) __________________ South Wales Angling Guide - Shore Angling in South Wales
