I am a northerner as if I went to London I would get looked on like a pleb/troublemaker, and yes you do need a passport to get past Watford gap!!

Re: Gower Peninsula - Meet

hey guys!
sorry i havent been on the forum for about 6 months!!!
new job has totally destroyed my fishing sessions - I havent been out all winter....

a few bass are starting to show on the surf beaches on the Gower. at the end of the year (sept / nov) a double figure bass was caught at port eynon point in a nasty storm on peeler crab. as soon as the crab peel gets underway (usually april) it is worth targetting the bass on the rough ground rock marks - may is more fruitful though!

i was working in lowesoft earlier this week and staying on kingsley cliff rd which overlooks the south beach - does much get caught there? have heard of codling from great yarmouth and pakefield but dont know much about the south beach.... looked ok with a definate steep shelf nr the low tide mark - didnt have any gear with me though!

anyway in order to resolve my work issues (i have just worked 180hrs without a day off) i am thinking of going for another career change. am definately interested in some bass sessions down the gower though...

Hello mate - thought you had been pulled in by those doggies in Oxwich !!

Tried to send you a tx message a while ago but dont know if I had the right number mate - anyway good to hear you are still around.

Need to arrange a good session of bassing soon cause there are quite a few who want to have a session over our way.

Speak to you soon mate.

Tommy

Re: Gower Peninsula - Meet

No problem lads. Im keeping my ear to the ground! The bass fishing will just get better and better from now, the smoothhound fishing wont pick up until late May. Perhaps a late May meet would provide us with the best prospects.
Would be cool to get out in a charter boat aswell if u were up for it? They have started getting some big blonde rays along with small-eyed and thornbacks from the banks... the bass wont be far behind! Just a thought....

Hi JuanPablo,

Depending on the date you can count me in on a charter outing.

Cheers
