| Re: advise needed Hi from mackerel mal, You have several options here. I enjoy Ferryside, only a couple of miles from Kidwelly. It is a small village with the beach verry close. A the river towey (I Think), runs through and there is no walk to start fishing onlt a matter of yards. Fish - Plaice, Bass, Whiting are common. I fished there a couple of weeks ago but struck out, however I have had a good record there. Pembrey country park is the most common fishing beach, but be prepared to do some walking here from the car park. The tide goes out a long way. Fish- Plaice, Bass, Whiting etc. A vast expance of flat sand. Neither venues are good at high tides. Ferryside due to the current on incoming water and weed that comes with it. Give it the first hour before starting. This can givr you a chance to visit the cabin. Famous for its chips. I would recommend a takeaway as a sit down can be expensive. Pembrey on high tide comes in fast, so you would have to move quite often, but it does pass the time and when in some good fishing. Hope this helps. |
