| help / cardiff Hey there all I've just joined the forum, as I've recently decided to give sea fishing a go. I haven't been out since I was a kid and my dad took me to the Knap, the odd bit of coarse fishing, and so I don't have much of a clue what to do. So I'm looking for a fishing buddy to show me the ropes. I'm ion Cardiff, I picked up a rod and reel and basic rigs etc last weekend, anyone up for it? I am a fast learner and a sparkling conversationalist :) cheers, Alex     |

| Re: help / cardiff yeah thanks for your concern fellas  Been loads, mainly down the foreshore, caught some nice fish. nice and tasty fish :) Will be there for the high tide Sunday AM in ususal spot by the pole. |

| Re: help / cardiff i know this is a old thread...but im also from cardiff and like you said two years ago im looking to start so any advice on rods, tackle, the essentials would be helpful! also, a fishing buddy would be great to show me how to do it!!! (only been fly fishing before but as a student i cant afford to go to fisheries!) Cheers |
