| Re: cardiff number of places cardiff foreshore...long walk can be excellent fishing with casting distances anywhere from 30 yrads Off the wall) to having to blast out(130yards) and rough ground Penarth pier restricted to the "banjo" end, great spot for getting the rods rattling but mainly small stuff, rigs 2 or 3 hook flappers penarth beach - slipway...by the rnli station...good fishing and sheltered on a westerly will get whiting, pout, silver eels, and straps Ranny/lavernock...rough as a badgers arse,....but can be brilliant, both a low water and high water mark but be warned don't fish high water here on anything over a 12m tide as you'll run out of beach and get cut off Saint Marys well bay - low water sand spit...good fishing for whiting and codling with the odd ray and dover sole thrown in...whatthe water coming in behind you. Sully island - oneof my favourites you can fish the "monkey pole" 2 1/2 hours either side of low for congers, codling and odd bass, don't be tempted to stay anylonger than 2 1/2 hours of the flood or you'll not get back accross the causeway!!! anything you need on specific marks pm me john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size |
