| fishing sat 27/1 /07 afterr 6 weeks we are finally going fishing,hoping to lock out at 7.30 am.bait collected today consisting of 4lb of black lug couple boxes squid, and some mackeral.weather permitting hoping for an all day early evening session.so all thats left tosay is look out mr cod (ha-ha) and good luck to anyone fishing this weekend. plugger  __________________ if at first you dont succeed buy a boat. peter     |

| Re: fishing sat 27/1 /07 got out at 7.30am into flat calm sea and the sun shining. got tackled up with uptider baited with squid and black lug.sifting through the cooler bag came across (wait for it some m&s out of date cooked king prawns that neil had secretly put in)so i secretly baited up another rod with said prawns and bugger me first fish of the day a jouvenile codling 2lb, after that we were all using the prawns in some sought of coctails with not bad results.the weather was brilliant and sea was flat but the fish kept coming all in in all we ended up with about 14 cod ranging from 2 to 5lb, we took a few for the table returning the majority to fight another day. must comment on one boat in the lock though, i know that once we have had our days fishing we we all want to get in and home but this guy was one of the last into the lock, admittedly he had to come up the middle as there were a lot of boats but he just sped off without a thought for any one else in the lock. ok little rant over. one more thing though all fish came before high water wit not even a bite after. plugger __________________ if at first you dont succeed buy a boat. peter |

| Re: fishing sat 27/1 /07 We were in the 7:30 lock, didn't spot you but it was full, we had a similar sort of day with around 13 codling around the 3lb - 3 1/2lb mark. & 1 small eel. cracking bit of weather though in the morning, brilliant sunshine and the sea was flat as a pancake. KK |
