| Bristol Channel 8 DEC,no wind !!!!! and plenty of Cod After never ending strong winds,we managed to get out in search of some Cod.A couple of decent Thornbacks got the day off to a good start,and a steady stream of Cod during the day kept everyone busy.A total of 19 cod for the day ,best fish just over 9lb   Best Cod of the day 9LB,To Forum member "Maggotman"   Looks like Cod and chips for tea !!!!!  __________________ Mike.. | Re: Bristol Channel 8 DEC,no wind !!!!! and plenty of Cod Thats me with the Cod! just wanted to say a VERY BIG thanks to Mike on Lady Helen for an absolutely Fabulous days fishing. We caught right from the start with 2 double figure thornies within the first 30 mins, then the Cod kept coming steadily all day, as did the tea and sausage sarnies! We did return a number of Cod with a total of 19 brought to the Boat, and about 10 lost through our inept angling! we also caught Conger to about 20lb. I cannot recommend a day on this boat highly enough! |
