| cod hunting cardiff 4/11/06 out on the boat in the morning after th e elusive cod.baits for the day are frozen lug (couldnt get fresh anywhere) crab,squid,rag, mackeral.heading for 9am lock, and will be fishing a couple of marks around cardiff,barry.heard some good reports this week of fish being caught so quite optimistic for a good day out. will post report saturday night. good luck to everyone fishing tommorrow. plugger  __________________ if at first you dont succeed buy a boat. peter     |

| Re: cod hunting cardiff 4/11/06 I'm off out today as well. Weapon of choice: squid. Now we've had the first proper frosts, we should see a better quality of fish coming through. Anyway, I'll post in this thread later as well to let you know how many dogfish stole my cod baits  |

| Re: cod hunting cardiff 4/11/06 Ok, ok, I got a cod!!! (-ling). My first ever, and its sitting downstairs ready for my tea tommorow. Fishing today was suprisingly poor with: 15-ish doggies 5 thornies to 7lbs 1 strap conger and a perfect codling ;) (about 2.5lbs) I don't think any of the boats out there did much better, which is a shame considering the weather we had. Anyway, onward and upward and more next week!!! |
