| Wish i`d caught a fish like this when i was 9 !!!! Had a party on board last saturday,had a fair few ray,conger ,dogs and smoothies,as we called time a young lad insisted he was snagged,which was nearly impossible as we were on sand,after a 10 min battle up popped the biggest Blonde Ray we`ve had this year,a cracking 21lb female...We were all speechless and very envious !.....  You don`t often catch a fish bigger than you !  Get a adult to hold it up for the pics !!!!  It gets a bit heavy after a while !,hence the red face....      |

 Re: Wish i`d caught a fish like this when i was 9 !!!! Wow, what a fish. Got to be something in this beginners luck thing. My first & best Pollack was a 19lb fish when I was a kid. One day I was fishing Chesil & a youngster came up to me & held up a Bass of about 7lb, & said scuse me mister, what sort of fish is this. It was his first attempt at fishing & he had caught it on a 5' solid glassfibre Woolworths rod. Also went to a West Wilts fly fishers Guild social meet & Barbecue at a local trout fishery a few years back. Two of the members both brought their kids. Both under 10 years of age. Guess who were the only two to land double figure trout.
