And about time too! Holyhead report.

My first post here after quite a while of simply reading. Apologies for lurking for so long. Report over a week late but there you go.
Fished out of Holyhead on the high tides of September 8th with 'My Way'. Hoping for Tope but the Skipper advised us beforehand that we would be very lucky to see any because of the very high water and recent murky conditions. He was right, not a sniff. Nevertheless a good day. I opened the catches with a decent sized Whiting and then went quiet for an hour or so. Others on the boat began catching and soon the Huss were falling to the big fishbaits. They went well into double figures on numbers with some big ones coming aboard. Species for the day were Whiting, LSD's, Huss, one large Dab and umpteen Pouting. Not the Tope we were hoping for but a great day all the same. Good craic, hot sunny weather and a calm sea. Well worth the drive from South Wales.
Ray

Re: And about time too! Holyhead report.

My first Whiting was the biggest fish of the day for me. . Apart from a Doggie or two.
Thanks for the welcome. If and when I catch a fish again,,,,,,,,,I'll post it.
