Well, as I had a nice day out of Barry yesterday I decided to go again this morning :)

Called up Pete first thing and he agreed to go out with myself and the other crewman (and his 4 year old son) for a few hours fishing. So on a rather late lock departure here's what we got:

1 huss around 10lbs
Two 12-15lb conger
4-5 strap conger < 5lbs
Too many doggies to bother counting
Two thornies 8lbs+

Which wasnt too bad

I was quite pleased because I had one of the large thornies on the first cast, then a couple of doggies before the huss, then a 'decent' conger (12lbs or so, which is my PB so far...).

Oh, and I swear to God there was one big conger with it in for me today... he bit off my standard Pennel trace which is fair enough, it was only 50lbs line. Then I used a double knotted trace... and blow me if the big b******d didn't bite through that as well. I couldn't be arsed tying another double knotter, flicked another Pennel over and... WHOMP... a sodding 3rd trace bit through cleanly.

He didn't bother me after that, but that conger has more hooks than some tackle shops.

Looking forward to next weekend already :)
