| Bass Fishing Hi all, I have recently moored my boat in Penarth marina and have had a number of excellent days sampling the smoothhound fishing. However, I love catching Bass. Generally, I have done all of my Bass fishing around the Gower drifting with live sandeel. Fishing in the Bristol Channel is different from the Gower, so can i be cheeky and ask what are the best techniques further up East and Aberthaw way. Gareth     |

| Re: Bass Fishing hi gareth, my boat is berthed in cardiff bay yacht club,and we fish around aberthaw. i agree the smoothound fishing has been goood lately,in answer to what tactics for bass, i caught a 10 pounder on sat last using frozen sandeel on a running ledger rig and uptide gear. have heard good reports from that area of bass showing. plugger  peter |
