| 11th June. What a scorcher.....the weather I mean. Shame about the fishing. I think the water is far too murkey at the Penarth end of the channel. Unfortunately i`m stuck with it. Managed to get to Castle rock but spend most of my time looking for fish holding contours. Anyway.....at least theres the ever present dogfish to avoid a blank session. Doggies and strap conger is all I seem to find. Oh and a small whiting off the mid Cardiff. I know you guys had some great success further down channel but the airwaves were pretty quiet on the fish front. The Cardiff bay yacht club had a competition and I only saw one weighable fish in the lock which was a 9lb Huss......I heard that someone lost a `big one`(dont know what) off the foreshore. I`m out again on Friday (weather permitting). Might try out on the Middle grounds to see if any Bass are showing themselves..........Bring back the Cod I say. __________________ Andy. ------------------- Treat each day as your last, one day you`ll be right. |

| Re: 11th June. Dont worry Keana, you wern't the only one to have a poor days fishing, we decided to buddy up with another boat and keep in contact to try locating fish, we decided to go upto Newport and tried several spots on the deeps. Tried off Cardiff but all we managed was a small ray, 2 strap eels, and two doggies, and the other boat only had 2 doggies. so we also wish we had headed west instead, biggest catch was the sun tan.
