| Lady Helen 22 April......... The weather man promised the hottest day of the year ,so off we went in to the cold misty conditions thinking "yeah yeah",another wrong forecast.As it turned out in the afternoon it was baking hot and flat calm. A few fish caught,including several late season cod,and a couple of nice rays ,off course a few doggies and several congers. The sea is not this flat very often  Several late season cod still hanging around in the channel   A nice 11lb Thornback .....  A 7lb 8oz Blonde Ray      |

Beautiful conditions over the weekend Mike, we picked up some smaller Bass around the 1lb-1.5lb mark on the banks with plenty of Thornbacks about and a few late Codling around 3lb-4lb. Managed to lose a good Conger on squid, same location, too light a snood, but half a dozen straps after gearing up. Are you out this week? Good luck if so, cheers Simon. |
