penarth report

fished a mark 20 mins out of penarth today, great start to the day first
cast cod 5 1/2lb went quiet for a bit then all three of us were in to fish,
my mate had a strap conger about 6lb and i had my first whiting of the year
and the other lad had small codling. a few more small codling came and went untill high water came and we started having doggies lost a few what seemed to be decent sized fish but by the end of the day we boated another 2 cod about 4/5 lb. all in all not a bad day and the weather was superb.
on the way in met charter skipper in the barrage for the first time, had a quick chat before berthig the boat for another week.next weekend off to marloes for a bit of wrasse, pollack fishing off the rocks.

oh by the way baits for today were frozen lug, rag, sqid and mackeral.

Re: penarth report

Nice one Peter. Just shows that you dont need to travel far to get some good fishing. Good luck with the rock fishing.
